WAMITAB Statutory Operator Competence Certificates (CoTC)

We offer the full range of WAMITAB NVQ, CoTC, CoC awards and waste management workshops to help learners with their knowledge and understanding requirements of the CoTC Scheme.

WAMITAB qualifications are divided into statutory and non statutory awards. Statutory awards are those that are required by law to undertake certain roles in the waste industry. Non statutory awards provide a way for employees to prove their job competence and gain a real qualification.

National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ’s) are designed to demonstrate the ability to do a job to an agreed set of standards. Assessment of competence to carry out job skills takes place at work.  This is achieved by the candidate creating a portfolio of evidence which is then assessed.

There are different level NVQ’s in the waste industry starting at Level 1 progressing through to Level 4. The NVQ that is right for you will depend on your job role and experience and the type of site you are working at. The flowchart below will also help you to decide.
