Seminar overview

If you work in the waste industry then these sessions will give you access to the top authority on STF at the HSE and HSL. Hear the very latest policy developments and research as well as:

• Understanding the surfaces you’re walking on (including those on your vehicles)
• Slip and trip potential, the ingredients that go into the pie for these accidents
• A practical demonstration of equipment that HSE use which gives accurate measurements of slip resistance. The HSE/HSL will demonstrate the equipment using a variety of flooring surfaces(including metal chequer-plate commonly used on vehicles) and different contaminants
• Slips and trips on and around vehicles
• Safety footwear – are you considering slip-resistance? Find out what features to look for (actual footwear will be passed around so that you can see the features that provide good slip-resistance)
